We’re pleased to announce that New Frontier Technologies has won the Company Research Team of the Year category at the Australian Space Awards 2026.

This recognition reflects our team’s work on low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) composite structures for space applications, (see case studies Repeatable High-Precision Manufacturing, Lightweight, low-CTE mirror mounts for ground-based DREAMS telescope, Dimensionally stable composite mount for optical satellite-based instrumentation). This recognition is a reflection of the significant R&D effort by the NFT team to push the boundaries of advanced composite manufacturing and develop new capabilities for flight-relevant solutions.

Our work is built on close integration across design, manufacturing, and analysis, with a strong emphasis on repeatability, performance, and manufacturability in demanding space environments. We’re proud to have this work recognised and look forward to continuing to develop and commercialise the technology.
